We are a family who loves our Springers Spaniels! We currently own two females, Shelby and Bella. Our dogs are inside pets and are very much a part of our family. They are allowed on the furniture, beds, and are close by at all times. They are spoiled rotten. They get to sleep on the bed, and even under the covers. We go camping, hunting, and fishing with them and they love every minute of it.
Our first Springer Spaniel (Brandy) was a rescue back in February of 2003. She was only a few months old then and was the best dog ever! We had several litters with Brandy & Rex and enjoyed every one of them. We even had lemon colored Springers. When we first saw the lemon color we where shocked. Didn't know there was such color. Brandy passed away in June of 2016. We miss her a great deal. Brandy is the reason why we fell in love with the Springer Spaniel breed and will probably never own a different breed ever again.
Our second Springer Spaniel (Rex) would have been a rescue as well, but he never actually made it to the animal shelter. We found out that his previous owners wanted to take him to a shelter because they just didn't want him any longer. That is when we stepped up and took him into our home back in 2007. He was such a great dog as well. He did have a bad habit of running off when we first got him due to his previous owners allowing this behavior. He eventually learned this was a "No No" and stayed in the yard. Rex had a slight shoe fettish. He would grab a shoe when we came home and trotted around the house in excitement. It was so cute to watch. He would never chew on them, he just had to have one in his mouth. Unfortunately, Rex passed away in June of 2019. He was an old man of almost 15 years. To this day we miss them both so much. We have Brandy & Rex's ashes sitting beside each other on the shelf, with their collars there to match. Right next to a picture we ordered titled, "Waiting at the door"
Shelby is our third Springer Spaniel and the first one that we ever purchased. She was worth every penny and then some. She was born in October of 2016. Shelby had a strong bond with Rex because he was here most of her early life. Not knowing how much longer we would have with Rex we decided to keep one of Shelby's puppies out of her first litter. This was to keep her company after he was gone and to give her someone to play with. Boy did that happen! They are thick as thieves. Shelby is a great dog and is always at our side. She loves her toys and always wants to play. She isn't so great at giving the toy back to you so you can throw it for her. She want's to play keep away from us and have us chase her. If you don't pay attention to her she will start barking at you until you throw her a toy. Shelby is an awesome momma. She cares for her babies so well and is a great mom.
Bella is our baby girl and our fourth Springer Spaniel. She was the puppy we kept from Shelby's and Hunters first litter, born on July 16th, 2018. She is very small and petite and weighs about 30 pounds. So now we just have Shelby and Bella. Trust me when I say that is enough! They play great together and are just like our kids. They are spoiled rotten and are loved so much. They both love it when the grandkids come over because they are just as wild as they are at times. They enjoy running around and especially love chasing after birds. They are very smart and are great dogs. We can't go anywhere without them being right by our side. Can't even go to the restroom alone. No privacy in this house. They are like Velcro, and just stick to you no matter where you go. One minute they may be bouncing around playing and then when they settle down, they are right in your lap. Just like little couch potatoes with us! It's a good thing they are medium sized dogs instead of large because they are definitely lap dogs! They are truly the best breed of dogs out there, but we are biased. We will never own any other breed again.
Remington is the newest addition to our family. Our 5th Springer. She fits in great with our other two girls. From the moment we saw her puppy pictures posted online, we were in love with her!! She was truly meant to be with our family and we are so blessed to have her. She loves toys and plays very well with Shelby. Remi will be bigger than both Shelby and Bella, as she is bench bred. She has some big paws to grow into. She loves anything that is edible, especially whole carrots.
We will eventually breed Remi, but we are looking for the right stud for her. A liver & white bench bred that has typical markings. We just love her so very much. She will make beautiful puppies someday.
Our puppies are adopted quickly, so reach out early to reserve your furever friend.
